A campaign that promoted Google AdWords required simplicity.
A campaign that promoted Google AdWords required simplicity.
Ensuring the agency expanded its exposure, relationship and successes within Google, I was responsible for leading the creative direction of an 18 month campaign that promoted Google AdWords.
Leading the campaign that demonstrates how SMBs can use Google AdWords for ‘one-off’ advertising solutions, I devised a wealth of concepts whilst art directing designers to ensure the humorous light-hearted campaign succeeded in promoting Google Displays Network.
Various routes manifested itself during the concept period for the campaign. Working with my team and Google, these campaigns where narrowed down, developed and executed. The campaign style and rhythm was so successful that the campaign was continued during the full Christmas period.
After initial scamps outlining various campaign ideas, Google selected four key routes to explore and develop. Along with 'Brighton', the ice-cream banner, came 'Dawg' that demonstrated the benefits of AdWords in a humorous way. The dog, as key character, went through a series of transitions to ensure it was up to the job... waggy tail!
With Google looking to target SMB consumers with a tailored Christmas campaign and highlight how AdWords can help with their Christmas marketing, we devised a series of campaigns including 'Rudolf'.
